Red Jellyfish

Tiburonia Grarajo - California Academy of Sciences , San Francisco
The rich colours of the Red Jellyfish with the blue background offered a very attractive image. This jellyfish is different to other normal jellyfish in that they do not have marginal tentacles, but instead have flesh oral arms that they use to eat. They are also known as the Big Red as they can grow up to one metre in diameter and are mainly found in very deep and cold waters.
